<\/a>One of my favorite resource discoveries in 2014 was the online timer. \u00a0These web-based timers have a number of different options ranging from a stopwatch to a snail race (my current favorite). \u00a0After setting the timer a shot is heard and three snails engage in a neck and neck race to the finish line. \u00a0At the end of the time, one of the snails is the victor.<\/p>\n Joshua Bann, one of my fellow\u00a0trainers, allows participants to bet on the race and awards stickers to those who guess correctly. \u00a0The awarded stickers are compiled throughout the training (for this and other activities) \u00a0and a small prize is awarded at the end of training for the person with the most stickers.<\/p>\n A plethora of timers may be located at www.online-stopwatch.com. \u00a0the snail race timer is located under the classroom timers on the site located here<\/a>. \u00a0Once on the page, scroll\u00a0to the bottom to see the snails.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" One of my favorite resource discoveries in 2014 was the online timer.
